Keen to stay lean this summer? Let us tell you how.

Usually, a vacation is our time to unwind and de-stress for the pressure of life around us. But, for those of us who stay consistent in both workouts and diet, vacation can be a daunting experience where lost gains and extra centimetres lurk around the corner. Not to worry, we have a few tips and tricks to keep you in top shape while vacationing and maintain that lean physique.

  1. Eat your protein, even in small doses

Just because you’re on holiday, doesn’t mean your muscles are. They still need protein to maintain their size and strength during those off days. While a protein supplement would be the usual go-to, on holiday we don’t always have access to or feel like a protein shake at the beach, and that’s ok. A good choice is to supplement your diet with a quick easy on-the-go protein snack like a #21 Protein Bar – perfect to hit that protein goal and maintain calories throughout the day.

Eating high protein meals will further improve overall protein intake and assist to maintain lean muscle while enjoying some down time.

  1. Cardio

You might not be at the gym all summer round, with many people going away on vacation and spending holidays with family. And what better way to unwind, and get in some extra calorie burning steps, than by taking a stroll along the beach while on holiday or hiking up a beautiful mountain trail. Cardio doesn’t always need to be a sweat inducing HIIT session or a 45 minute workout. Instead, try to incorporate a brisk morning stroll, or bike ride around the neighbourhood.

This gives you a moment to appreciate nature, spend time with family and add some light exercise to your holiday. Be sure to replenish electrolytes often with a sports drink like Hydrade, filled with vitamins and minerals - it’s a hiking bag essential.

  1. Micro-train

Going to gym during the summer season can be a daunting task; instead we suggest incorporating a fun yet challenging routine into your daily vacation life. Something quick and easy will do more than offer some light training, by assigning just a small window of time to work out you will boost your energy levels and metabolism for the day ahead.

  • 10 x jump squats
  • 10 x pushups
  • 20 x leg raises
  • 20 x mountain climbers
  • 10 x dips

Perform a 15-minute circuit as many sets as possible. This is just an example, fitness doesn’t always have to be a lengthy weights session, instead it can be a hard 15 minutes that gets you sweating, boosts your heart rate, and helps you feel lean while enjoying your summer.

  1. An all-day fat burner:

While staying lean can be challenging on holiday, a fat burner can ease the pressure slightly and let you have a moment to sit back and relax. We recommend Thermo Cuts Black an all-day fat burning support designed to boost metabolism and mood. Additionally Thermo Cuts black contains a natural diuretic complex, helping you keep off excess water and prevent bloating.

An alternative is Halo Burn our most advanced fat-loss support product yet. Each component of Halo Burn has been carefully formulated to increase caloric output, increase energy levels, reduce water retention, reduce cortisol levels, and promote sleep and recovery. It is the perfect quick supplement to support weight loss and maintenance while on holiday.
