5 Tips on finding balance and including fitness into your everyday routine 

 

Balance is the key to living a healthy lifestyle! Striving for balance in your life will help you to find happiness and peace. But balance is easier said than done. It’s difficult to balance your work life, personal life, and everyday fitness lifestyle.  

 

A balanced fitness lifestyle should help you to feel more energized, fit, active, and mentally ready for the week.  

 

We are here to guide you and give useful tips to find more balance in your fitness journey. 

 

#1 Get a commitment 

 

If you haven’t signed up for our Body Revolution Challenge yet, don’t worry our next challenge is around the corner. Or get a commitment by signing up for gym classes, Pilates classes, spinning, or even boxing. This will help you to have selected days whereby you have to pitch and be active for the day. It will be a constant reminder that you have to exercise and do the extra effort, especially if you are paying for it! 

 

 #2 Designate specific areas for specific activities

 

It’s important to designate a specific room or area for an activity.  For example, it is difficult to peacefully rest if you work in your bedroom. Your bedroom should help you to switch off and forget about work. The same counts for your home gym, as it should only be a space for physical activity, and if possible – it should never be mixed. 

 

#3 Stretch anywhere, anytime! 

 

Try to incorporate quick stretches in between study breaks and working as it will help with concentration. It’s always a good idea to do short exercises throughout the day as it will help you to feel more energized.  

 

#4 Plan your week 

 

Create a weekly schedule, whereby you know exactly when you are planning to work and when you are planning to exercise. This will help you to stay accountable and ensure that you are in the right mental space before participating in the activity.  

 

#5 Don’t be too hard on yourself 

 

If you skipped gym classes or cheated during the week, be kind to yourself and try again. Don’t give up and always go the extra mile to achieve your dreams. Anything is possible if you believe! 

 

#6 Find true balance 

 

There are different versions of balance for different people. Stick with the type of balance that works for you. This means finding the right time during the day to exercise, getting your task list done in the manner you want to. You’re the captain of your ship. Stick with your true balanced lifestyle.  

 

Balance is the key to everything. It sets the standards for how we think, feel, and respond to different situations in our lives. Set small goals for yourself throughout the day to help you stay motivated and keep you going. Stick with your schedule, write it down, keep a diary and check yourself. You got this! 

 

Remember, balance isn’t something you find, it’s something you create.
